I spent 10 nights with the FIFA workforce for the 75th FIFA Congress. The service and food were pretty good, even though they always overcooked my beef, even when ordering blue. Employees were always kind and well educated. The laundry service was great. The bathtub is hazardous; it is extremely slippery, and the bathroom could have better light. No way is this a top 10 in Asuncion!

For our final night in Asuncion, I was looking for something with good reviews and close to the airport given our 6 am departure time. Esplendor was on the pricier side but ticked the boxes on paper, including #6 of all hotels in Asuncion on Tripadvisor based on traveler ranking. This one was a HUGE miss. There is no way this hotel should even be in the top 20. Stayed for a few nights during a business trip. Had a room on a high floor which was nice and had an open view. Bed was OK, pillows could be better for sure. Housekeeping missed my room one day. We did an excellent choice with this hotel in our stay in Asunción, Paraguay. The staff is very friendly and was always ready to solve our questions about the city and touristic places to visit.
