Maybe 20 years ago this was one of the the best places to stay in Asuncion; but today its just a ghost that only have to show a name. The rooms are totally in need of maintenance: the carpets need to be replaced, the Tv doesnt work, the deployed baseboards and the painting on the walls finish what you are just imagine.... unfortunately a shame.Also the surrounding area its in total decadence again… Maybe 20 years ago this was one of the the best places to stay in Asuncion; but today its just a ghost that only have to show a name. I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Asuncion. I checked in extremely late, after 12:30 am on the day after I had booked to arrive. The reception staff were fine with this, and throughout my stay they were very friendly and spoke good English.On my way to my room I could tell that the hotel was very tired and dated. The property itself was fine. I purposefully chose it being in old Asuncion vs. the many choices that are now in new Asuncion. I didn't think there was anything unique about the new city.I used the hotel car for airport pickup/departure.
