Our experience had 2 ending. When we arrived at the lobby Mr. Edison approached us, telling us he us going to allow us check in before 3:00p.m, but, he will show us the hotel the next day, but after some difficulties in the communication because he was pushing very hard to show us the installation. We said no, then he said we have to wait until 3:00p.m for check in. We waited 1:45 hours. at the lo… Our experience had 2 ending. There are two separate properties here. The hotel has acces to the very nice laguna, which is not technically available to resort guests. The resort is all-inclusive, and is an older property. We got a room that had just been renovated, which was very pleasant. Older rooms look really old. There are very few rooms with water views. The beach is OK - but not a lot of shade or many chairs to sit on.… There are two separate properties here. Beautiful place to go, worth the travel! Very accommodating & quick to resolve issue, food had taste to it! We stayed at the residence area but often go to the resort for food. The staff at the restaurants are excellent and food are very good. We specially liked the seafood restaurant "El Velero". All the staff at "El Velero" are exceptional, the salad, dessert bars are varied and fresh and the main dish are excellent. We specially liked the lobster tails and steaks.
