Our stay at this hotel was not great. We arrived at noon knowing we could not check in until 3:00. However, the front desk told us that the rooms were ready and that we could check in. I reserved two rooms and requested them to be beside each other. When we got to the room to check in we heard noise in one of the rooms. So instead of just using the key to enter we decided to knock first. And as we suspected someone answered the door. So we contacted the front desk from the other room and told them of the situation. They informed us that they could give us another room but he didn't want to be separated. We told them that we would just wait for the room to be clean since check-in was originally at 3:00 anyway. We decided to go to the rooftop to watch the parade and come back and check on the room at around 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. the room still was not ready we went back up to the rooftop to watch the parade some more. By bedtime, we came back to the room about 9:00 p.m. and the room still was not clean. We inform the front desk and they gave us another room on another floor. The first room they gave us, the door almost came off the hinges. Therefore they had to give us another room. Also note that the windows in both rooms were very dirty and very dull you could not see out of them at all. The next morning we spoke to the staff at the front desk about a possible refund or discount or some kind of compensation and none was offered. This is very bad customer service, we will never stay there again. However the restaurant at the hotel was very good and we would highly recommend it.

Hotel Lounge area is very clean , Staff were very friendly, hotel room was spacious the floor and bathroom were also clean. The block out curtain needs a change look a bit ragged. The sheets look clean but the head board was very dirty , found strands of hair everywhere which is not much of a concern, towels mats can do with a bit of change look kind of old. The fridge wasn't cold at all for our 7days was very upset. Breakfast was ok but not much options, eating area decor very beautiful. Overall stay was ok it was very reasonable price ,great location and safe to walk at night. I would still recommend.

Beautiful new hotel, rooms and property were very clean. Perfectly located in financial part of the city. Very easy walk to the store or bank if needed. In a previous review I read mentioned no English at hotel , this is not true all shifts and hours of the day there was someone who spoke English if needed. But Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Roof top pool is very chill perfect spot to watch a game or eat with friends and family. Pricing was fair and offered a lot when compared to other local hotels. Free breakfast buffet in morning which I was impressed with. Great views of the city from roof at night.

The Mio Hotel is in the heart of downtown Panama City, Panama, a relatively international city. Certainly, it is a popular tourist destination of US citizens. When I booked reservations online, little did I know this is a Spanish speaking ONLY hotel. The staff has little to no comprehension of English at all. It’s nearly impossible to get an answer to basic housekeeping questions or local directions. They do not even offer one English speaking television channel. Makes staying here, and in the city, inconvenient & uncomfortable. Hope this helps someone else from making the same mistake.
