you could do a lot better

were it not for the location, it would rate a 2. The shower floods the floor in the bathroom - there is no lip, no barrier between the shower & the rest of the bathroom - sheer genius. Also, no floor mat in the bathroom; & poor face lighting. I was part of a group - that prearranged its meals. Our first night they screwed up big time. The second night we had beef - poor quality, chewy, tas… were it not for the location, it would rate a 2. We paid to upgrade the room as the first one was just dark and depressing and looked over the car park, at least the fjord view was stunning and the room so much brighter, though how you can call it superior was beyond me.Everything needs updating, it’s a shame as the setting was stunning. The front desk was excellent, pleasant and accommodating. The view from our room was beautiful. Breakfast was a very nice buffet. The room had everything that we needed. What more can I say? In doubt between two or three stars. I have slept many weird places around the world. In a duvet storage room on a Tibetan yak farm. In a room above a pub in western Australia, with white lizzards running on the floor and sitting on the walls. In a "hotel tent room," also in Australia, with frogs living in the toilet. We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is right on the fiord. Our room was ample in space and very comfortable. We had an amazing view of the fiord.
