The bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the bathroom is extremely dated, to the point it looks dirty. Cleaning of the rooms daily were very hit and miss, sometimes you would get a liner in the bins, a couple of days we didn't. Replacement of face cloths, etc also very hit and miss, would have been nice if it was given a quick vacuum at least once over the week. Also th… The bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Just a 2 night stay, a little getaway. Felt very comfortable here, enjoyed our dinner, that was spectacular. The staff were friendly, the room was clean. We recently stayed at the Copthorne Hotel Paihia with three boys (two five-year-olds and an eight-year-old) across two rooms and had a really enjoyable stay.The rooms were comfortable and well laid out for a family setup across two rooms. I stayed for 4 nights in a sea view room. The renovations since my last visit were nice in the room, however they did skimp on a few areas. The tiny work area by the tv was the only place I could use my computer however no Power plugs nearby made this difficult. The table and chairs inside were uncomfortable with hard backs. Lovely and spectacular setting. But our first room was tired, cramped and without a view. Our second night, we were able to upgrade to an ocean view. The overall premises was also tired in general. And the food at both breakfast and dinner was awful—barely edible. Staff was as sympathetic and helpful as possible.
