  Poor sleep and poor customer service

  We booked here for 4 nights, however the bed was so uncomfortable and hard we were unable to finish our stay and only managed to last 2 nights on the torture device they called a bed. After the first night we spoke to reception who told us they would get a mattress topper fitted to make the bed softer, we came back late and night and automatically assumed that the topper had been fitted, however, it had not.We complained again the next day and was told housekeeping would do it straight away, we went to the room and waited, after 30 minutes a lady brought nothing more than a mattress protector and handed it to us to fit ourselves, it would certainly not make the bed any softer. After exploring the locality for the day we decided that we could not face another sleepless night and decided to check out and move to another hotel. We spoke to the booking company and the receptionist who said that we couldn't have any money returned for the unused 2 nights stay, they also kept 2 nights city tax even though we didn't stay at that hotel, so we ended up paying city tax twice.A few other things to note about the hotel is that access is only possible through the shopping centre, which seems to turn into a homeless shelter for all the local vagrants after dark. It feels very unsafe / threatening having to walk through this area whilst people are drinking, swearing etc.The breakfast area is quite small and gets very busy, although the breakfast is good, we had to queue up and it all seemed quite disorganised and a bit of a free for all. Overall the hotel was disappointing and our lack of sleep was not appreciated whilst paying a premium price for a less than premium room.   Be polite to guests and don't always frown when asked.

  "Unfortunately, the staff was not friendly and frowning when asked about breakfast. Especially the tall man with white-haired staff who always frowns.. It was close to Utrecht Central, and convenient to downtown Utrecht.   Business overnight Stay

  i needed to Hotel close to the Station and main town. This Hotel ticks all the boxes, 5 min walk from the mains staion its located in a big shopping centre, and minutes walk from the main city. Checkin was so quick, my room was on the 4th floor, the view was over the shopping centre. It was very clean and fresh smelling, it had a tv with UK channels which sometimes helps, if you stuck in one night. Breakfast is a buffet option and its on the 3rd floor, it can get busy between 8 & 9 so allow extra time if needed, My sleep was perfect nice and quiet, and the hotel staff as so freindly.   A scary experience in a frugal property

  The hotel appeared to have problems with the reliability of its room allocation systems. Following a routine check-in, based on a booking via Hilton.com. I got a key and room card. But upon opening the door (without knocking) a man inside rushed towards me. I realized the room was occupied. He luckily grasped the situation, as I was able to show the room card that had the matching number. and I withdrew to the hallway. I could have ended up in a more complicated situation, if for example the occupant had been one from a different culture and language group. Having gone down to the reception to complain, the attendant assigned me another room and gave me a drink coupon as consolation for the inconvenience. He had no interest in pursuing the matter further. Taken the volume of their operation, experiences by one customer are not worth additional attention. There is a lot of variance in the quality of Hamptons worldwide. Located within a mall built in the mid 70s, the overall flavour of this property reflects that era. The rooms are crampy. The fact that the small working desk had no reading/working light was annoying. The ceiling lights were far up and not sufficient.
