We arrived at Hotel Andante at 16.30 on 29th December. I was given the key to our room. I booked this hotel non-refundable through booking.com and was apprehensive after reading the reviews here. Fortunately the hotel is currently being refurbished and I got a nice spacious room in the annex building next door which had a new bathroom. All the ground floor rooms were closed for painting during my stay and the public areas in the main hotel building have already been refurbished. While making a booking my wife asked the receptionist what time was the breakfast. The receptionist told us to pay first and then she will tell about the breakfast. Knowing the timings of the breakfast we wanted to book. We would not book the breakfast if it was too late. So we did not have an option. Worst hotel experience ever!

My friend and I booked a an upgraded room with twin beds but got a double room with no tea or coffee making facilities. We thought we could move the 2 beds but couldn't so had a terrible nights sleep. We asked to be moved to a new room which was available but we had to pack our things and wait until 3:30pm. When we returned we were sent to another room with a double bed.
