Very disappointing
Arrived at the hotel with my wife and a friend. Upon check in the young lady at the desk was very rude and not helpful at all. Asked about local trains to Maastricht but was told to search online. However, the other lady the rest of the stay was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is rated 3 Stars by Booking. Com, but I think it may be 2Stars. Value for money, but really a Fletcher hotel, so it needs updating
Actually what you can expect from a Fletcher hotel. The prices are good, so value for money. Service staff is good. Room was small and really outdated. I think in nowadays standards, it would be good if they had coffee/tea facilities in the room. A kettle to boil water and some tea bags would have been nice. Aside from the location, it's perfect for the motorway and Valkenburg, and the good breakfast, there is very little to recommend about the Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant De Burghoeve. The hotel looks quaint from the outside, with a very small, cramped car park a sign of what to expect. Avoid this hotel there are way better.
We were kept waiting over an hour in the "breakfast room" a fridge is warmer. Cold even with coats on..Carpets, dated in room 10. Told no not allowed a kettle in the room.My mum 78 had to sleep with her coat on it was that cold even with radiator on.Website said breakfast included and it was sold as, an extra at €17.50Could not check out fast enough.. We had vouchers to spend the night at a Fletcher hotel. My previous experiences with the hotel chain were good, however the Burghoeve in Valkenburg didn't meet my expectations.
