Poor service yet location superb.
After 10km walk wanted to go for coffee en soup. Unfortunately, service was super slow and soup cold. We contiued our routr without lunch! We arrived at 1.45pm. There was no one in the restaurant. Ordered 4 burgers and one satay. Drinks were ordered and the wrong alcohol free beer was sent back. The glass of water served in a cracked glass which was replaced. The burgers with cheddar sauce were lukewarm and a cheddar sauce with fries served on a wooden board. OK. Just OK. Overpriced and poor restaurant.
Nice enough hotel but I feel quite overpriced for what it was.Bathroom was small and steep stairs up to first floor - no lift.Tried to charge my car, there is a charger but you have to be registered and get a pass card in advance. No use at all if you are from overseas.Restaurant was again over priced and not open late. We got in a 7.40pm and they were wait for us to finish so they could close. Beautiful Stay at the Letcher Boutique Hotel Duinoord! Peaceful and nature beauty! Don't stay here if you intend to go out at night and like something local because this place will not be it. In fact you might as well stay in Leiden or elsewhere besides Wassenaar, but I love this town and this location of the hotel. Near the beach, take a little hike or bike ride and enjoy nature! No door on the toilet!!!
The toilet in bedroom 104 does not have a door so there is no privacy. The room is so small that it is not possible to walk around the bed. There is no sound proofing, you can hear every drip (and more) of next door's shower and toilet. There was a lot of dust and other detritus (old Covid masks) under the bed.
