Cute little hotel which was perfect for our few days in Amsterdam. Good location and right next to David Lloyd gym if you have a Uk membership and want a work-out. Breakfast was fabulous and healthy with a good choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our only gripes were the awful pillows, and the air con/vent running constantly. Noticed it went off at 11pm and was back on when we woke up. I’m easily aggravated by constant noise like that as well as it making the room too cold. I don’t want to sit/lay on a bed with air blowing on me. But if you are a fan of fans it will be perfect for you.

Recently stayed here, quite unexpectedly due to a flight disruption.The overnight rate I'd say matches the service you receive.It was a short stay for me, although not without it's issues. I was in the room for 6 hours, maybe 7 but during my time, the TV was broken as was the toilet which was running all night long.The night clerk was not able to assist, so I did not get a whole lot of sleep.I ended up leaving at the crack of dawn, as I wasn't able to sleep anyway.I cannot comment on amenities, as I really didn't use any. Location wise, it was less than 10m from the airport, which worked for me, although I can't speak about distance to downtown or shops and restaurants.The room itself was spacious but very dusty. We had a super trip in the Conscious Hotel Vondelpark. Everything was great - the staff are really helpful and friendly (special shout out to Angelo who is an absolute gent!), the decor is cool, rooms are really comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The table tennis (ping pong) was a huge hit with my kids. Bike rental was seamless and the location is pretty much perfect.

This review is specifically aimed at the reservations department, who deal with all the Conscious hotels. There is a much longer story but I will try and keep this as a story overview. My wife and I booked to stay at Conscious Hotel Westerpark. Our friend was also joining us for the trip but had accidentally booked the wrong conscious location (Vondelpark) Initially the staff were very helpful and managed to arrange for us to switch and stay at the tyre station for one night, followed by Vondelpark for the second two nights. This was appreciated as it was our fault for booking different locations. There were several long discussions about the price difference (back and forth with staff and reservations team) but the key point here is that we had a CLEAR CONVERSATION with the Tyre station staff member and were ensured the extra charge would be €45. After checking out of Tyre station we checked into Vondelpark and were told on arrival the charge was €119. Despite countless discussions with the team and with the reservation department we were forced to pay the €119. The whole situation was unpleasant and me and my wife were made to feel like we were being accused of lying. Overall this really ruined our stay. My wife (who is pregnant) was very distressed and in tears after having to argue our case many times with the staff at Vondelpark Essentially the hotel chose to get their extra €84 at all costs and I very much hope it was worth it to ruin a customer's stay and lose any future business from us (or our friends) We will never stay at a Conscious hotel again Team Conscious Hotels, Other at Conscious Hotel Vondelpark, responded to this review Dear Michelle,Thank you for your message. At that point, the host clearly informed you that the price difference between the two hotels would need to be paid, and you agreed to this before the move was made.The team then made another exception by moving you to Vondelpark for the remainder of your stay, as you preferred a double bed. In doing so, we reduced the extra charge by €67. Throughout each step, the team communicated that there was an open balance. When you expressed concerns about the total, they double checked the amount for you. Despite this, the payment remained outstanding and our manager ultimately stepped in to clarify the details. We have checked with every host member, reservations team and our guest notes. What has been spoken about. At no point did we accuse you of lying, we simply aimed to resolve what seemed to be a misunderstanding. We booked an early Check-In and it seemed like the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned when we checked in. We found a lot of long black hair in the bathroom. But the staff did not seem to care about that. 1 out of 5 days we got the room cleaned, new towels and the trash taken out. We would not recommend this hotel and we will not be coming back unfortunately.
