    Charming, Welcoming, and Cozy

    rating19 Apr 2026

We loved our stay at Riad Oriental Glory and Spa. Located in a quiet location, yet close enough to walk everywhere. Tasteful rooms, with friendly hosts, with many different areas to sit and enjoy mint tea or conversation. Rooms were tidied daily, and always greeted first thing in the morning with traditional Moroccan breakfast and coffee. Highly recommend. Looks exactly like the photos.

Amazing time at the Riad Oriental Glory and Spa

    rating11 Apr 2026

We spent an amazing five nights in Marrakech, staying at the Riad Oriental Glory and Spa. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was a treat with Samir serving us something different every day. We got to taste a lot of different Moroccan breakfast items this way. The Riad is about twenty minutes walk to Jemma El Fna and you get to experience food markets, metal craftsmen and more on the way. Bouchra and Fatima kept the rooms very clean and they and all the staff were really friendly. We ate at the Riad on our first and last night and can highly recommend the cuisine, especially the Chicken and Olive tagine and the Beef Tangia. The whole family loved the entire experience, with ages from 9-55 that’s quite a feat! We’ll be back. Shukran!

    What a great experience!

If you want to experience Marrakech, this is the place ! Sameer greeted us with traditional steaming hot tea and biscuits. He was so friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable! He is what customer service should aspire to. They have 2 housekeepers...Bushra and Fatima who were so friendly. Greeted us every morning...stopped briefly to chat. This place has that homey, comfortable feel. Try the food there! Breakfast was included, but try the dinners! Oh my goodness it was delicious!! Traditional foods served and quite a variety. Fresh squeezed orange juice every morning! The only negative is the dampness . It made our room quite cold. But they brought a heater in and it helped a bit...bedding was still cold and dampish but I just slept in longer pants. Truly an amazing experience...and it's right in the Medina so you can't get any more traditional than that !!

Pretty and Charming Riad, Issues with Location!

    rating04 Apr 2026

I stayed at this riad for 3 nights earlier this week in marrakesh, coming off a week-long journey across Morocco. Overall, I liked my stay, and I would like to give a special shoutout to Nourddine and Elias, who both rendered outstanding and prompt service. They took care of all my requests in the daytime, and were very contactable via WhatsApp if I ever needed help. The riad itself was very pretty too and made for some great pictures. Meals were also expertly taken care of by Samir and team, and the housekeeping ladies (Fatima and team) were really kind and friendly too. That said, there are a couple of reasons why I wouldn’t give this a perfect 5 star: 1. Location was an issue for a solo female traveler like me. The riad is located at the end of an alley in a quiet, rather deserted and far part of the Medina. It is still possible to walk to the Souks from the Riad, but it is a long walk if you do not know the shortcuts which won’t show on Google Maps (at least 30 mins of walking), and you will have to pass through various construction sites and very quiet alleys in order to get there. I would say that for me I didn’t feel very safe at night. I ended up having to take cabs from the souks to the riad especially at night, and each way costs 100 MAD. This will slowly add up in terms of expenses. Please also note that vehicles cannot stop anywhere near the Riad- the cabs stopped anywhere between 5 mins and 10 mins (of walking) away from the Riad, depending on where their GPS told them to go. 2. Having stayed at different riads in various parts of Morocco, I understand that there are various calls to prayers at different times of the day. However, the call to prayer in this road was really particularly loud- especially from my room. It literally felt as though the loudspeaker was pointed at my room at 5.30am every morning. I just wish that I could have been informed about this when I checked into my room, if this was just an issue for my room.3. The night reception staff (Jamal) didn’t feel very friendly. When I tried to ask him if he could help me call my driver for a hot air balloon experience early in the morning to make sure that the pickup point was correct, he sounded rather exasperated (but did do it). Again, it was because of the location of the riad that I felt the need to have confirmation on where the pickup point was, as vehicles can’t stop right in front of the riad.
