A real taste of Mexico city
My son and I traveled to Mexico and I chose this hotel for our 1 night stay in the city prior to going to Toluca based off its location being close to Rico tacos de toluca and mercados (markets) but I wasn't aware it would be close to so much more from bread shops to coffee shops and lots of food vendors and restaurants. It may seem sketchy out there based of some building but trust me it was safe… My son and I traveled to Mexico and I chose this hotel for our 1 night stay in the city prior to going to Toluca based off its location being close to Rico tacos de toluca and mercados (markets) but I wasn't aware it would be close to so much more from bread s…

A Definite Recommendation
Nice hotel, nice rooms, and quiet. About a 20 to 25 minute walk to parts of the city with popular attractions. Enjoyed daily buffet breakfast wh was included. Often took advantage of the filtered water machine and push of the button coffee machine for our frequent servings of free water and Cafe Americanos located near the front desk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Becky (fr… Nice hotel, nice rooms, and quiet. About a 20 to 25 minute walk to parts of the city with popular attractions. Disappointing
I have been a huge fan of Kali Hotels in many countries. The location is great , the beds are comfortable and the rooms are stylish. However, the lack of coordination between the restaurant, housekeeping and the front desk made for a 2 star experience. The hotel will not allow you to charge things to the room which meant multiple trips by room service interupting meals to make change or get charge… I have been a huge fan of Kali Hotels in many countries. Average hotel; would not return
I stayed for 9 nights early to mid-November in a standard queen room. The hotel is in a fairly good location, I walked everywhere and Balderas metro station is a block away. The street the hotel is on has a lot of mechanic shops, hardware supply stores, things like that. So while it may not be a lively main street with tourist shops or restaurants, I certainly never felt unsafe even as a solo fema… I stayed for 9 nights early to mid-November in a standard queen room. Better options in the Centro Historico area
On a positive note the rooms are clean and comfortable and a 5 min walk from Almaeda Park. On the negative side, hence the two stars, there is a lot of road noise especially from about 3am as there appears to be a motorcycle delivery beside it and they start at 3am. One night it sounded like there was a party right outside my window until about 2am. Also I booked via booking.com only to find I had… On a positive note the rooms are clean and comfortable and a 5 min walk from Almaeda Park.
