A very Bland Experience

A very bland hotel, not 5-star by any standard, the staff are very unresponsive. A simple request for a packed breakfast (we had already paid for the breakfast) owing to an earlier checkout was met with three different responses: yes, no issues, maybe- please check a night before, and finally, absolutely not unless you pay $ 50, for the privilege of packing our paid Breakfast. Location was a 20 minute drive from the airport and is close to downtown. The atmosphere was clean and opulent. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The value of the room and amenities were very good. Wonderful Stay — Outstanding Staff, But Noise Can Be an Issue

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Regency Mérida. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk to the historic center, with several excellent restaurants just 5–10 minutes away. Mérida itself offers incredible history, culture, and fantastic food. The hotel is perfectly located as it is right next to Colon 60, an office/hotel/restaurant complex where many tour companies make a stop. If you are riding the bus from the airport (modern buses and only 3usd each way) this is your stop as well. Staff at the front desk, housekeeping and the cafe were super attentive and helpful. Then you are 1.5 mile walk from downtown, a straight shot on Calle 60… The hotel is perfectly located as it is right next to Colon 60, an office/hotel/restaurant complex where many tour companies make a stop.
