We stayed here one night after arrival from Mexico City. Our stay began in a difficult way. The room we were assigned had a very bad smell indeed and was not, frankly, clean. The staff at reception were very helpful and resolved the problem - allowing us to check several rooms to find a room that was clean and that had good air conditioning. Run down hotel. Desperately needs a refresh. Hotel rooms actually have no windows but rather a skylight. Is bizarre. Front desk staff is awful. Asked for change to tip bellman and said they had none and to go to bar. Bar had none, restaurant had none. So then when back to front desk and they actually did. Ridiculous. This hotel is in a great location, but could use an update/refresh. That said, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was really good and the pool and gym was nice.
