    Nice property

    rating15 May 2026

Beautiful property, pool very clean and service is excellent. Plenty of open chairs with comfortable thick padding! Our room was a partial ocean view and it was lovely with plenty of room to sit on the balcony. Ceviche by the pool was excellent and Vela, the Italian restaurant was outstanding service and food. Our only complaint really is that breakfast was inconsistent. One day was good, the next day awful. We ordered off the menu, if you do the buffet it’s great, if you order one breakfast and a side of fruit you’re at $35 so you might as well do the buffet for $40. Also, the food overall is delicious but very expensive. $25 for a regular green salad. That’s kind of crazy. Also only 1 or 2 restaurants were open on any given night, so not too many options. We did Uber one night out for a steak dinner and the Uber service was excellent and reasonably priced. Overall a nice property, we would stay again.

    Great experience

    rating03 Apr 2026

PROS: Beautiful oceanfront property. Rooms & full kitchen well equipped. Excellent customer service. CON: Far away from nightlife and no stores/markets nearby for shopping. Need a car or take Uber/taxi everywhere. Hotel didn’t have any fun daytime pool activities, like classes and no nighttime entertainment, like live band/music. There’s hardly anyone at the pool after 5pm. Very quiet and family oriented.

    Exceeded Expectations

    rating31 Mar 2026

We stayed at this amazing resort for five nights and were truly impressed by the combination of outstanding service, beautiful facilities, delicious food, great pools, a long sandy beach, and a swimmable ocean lagoon. Our favorite restaurant was Vela, though we also enjoyed dining at Lena, Mio, and Sotol. The prices at the restaurants and coffee shop were reasonable—noticeably more affordable than at Hilton Azul. Our oceanfront room with a balcony was spotless, comfortable, and well furnished. Housekeeping was excellent, with daily service and consistent replenishment of water bottles and coffee capsules. The spacious gym was equipped with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, which we really appreciated. Throughout the resort, there were plenty of areas with sun-beds and cabanas offering stunning ocean views—you can even spot whales and jumping manta rays in the ocean. We especially enjoyed relaxing beach walks, swimming in the lagoon, and unwinding in the infinity pool and jacuzzi. One downside is that all cabanas are available only for an additional fee, ranging from $140 to $300 per day. That said, we were perfectly happy using the complimentary sun-beds.Overall, this unique resort exceeded our expectations and stands out as one of the best among Hilton properties. We would absolutely return in the future.

    Beautiful Property with amazing views

    rating11 Mar 2026

Fantastic property that is well maintained with an exceptional staff! This is a return trip and they have changed the menu prices since last year. Was shocked that a very small glass of ice tea was $12 USD. A very small order of guac and chips was $24 USD. Poke bowls were $29 but very little tuna with 2 pieces of avocado. House wine is $21 a glass, which was more than a margarita. Several of the couples around me said they were eating breakfast in their room and bringing wine down in their Stanley water bottles. Saying the Hilton Blend was just cheap wine and they went to Costco after the first day. Whoever is in charge of pricing is missing the mark.

Beware of "Bill Pumping" by service people

    rating02 Feb 2026

The place was great in most every way - well maintained and clean facilities, excellent food, attentive service. The prices are pretty crazy high like others note. OK fine. BUT, the staff engages in 'bill pumping' to increase the base amounts for their tips. Not OK. General examples: unilaterally making already-expensive drinks doubles without asking, spa adding $50 for a service they said was "included".Add the 16% federal tax to every charge and it starts to drive you crazy.Worst: We got a cabana and bought day passes for guests who live locally. Cabana + Guest Passes = very expensive, but at least the passes came with a food/drink allowance. - Strike 1: We ordered food as a group but the server insisted some was just for my wife and I and had to be charged separately. We underspent the allowance by 50%.- Strike 2: My wife had to send back a drink (she's not 'that gal', but it wasn't done right) and realized later we were charged for it.- Strike 10: Our guest's baby starts getting fussy and they clearly need to go. I ask and just give the server a good tip % on this large, inflated bill. Server then has the gall to start talking with my Mexican guest - off to the side where I didn't see him - and pressures him for a separate cash tip so he didn't have to tip out other people on his team. When my guest only had $20 the server visibly frowned at him and walked away. I asked my guest what the frown was all about and was furious to find out. But we had to go.I understand people are trying to feed families. But we felt like we were being pickpocketed and it basically ruined what was otherwise a great experience.
