so here is my review of the resort.Beaches/Pools - awesome. 5 starts there. Great beaches and 2 very big pools with available bars and plenty of chairs and umbrellasRestaurants - ok, so this is where it's "meh". There are 5 restaurants. For breakfast, it's really one 1 restaurant. Same for lunch. Dinner has 4 restaurants available....3 of the 4 are reservation only. I lived in Mexico for a year and have stayed in many hotels. Most of the staff were unfriendly and inattentive. The food is acceptable, but not exceptional. I stayed at the Occidental from June 3, 2026 to June 8, 2026. My group included 2 couples including myself and my boyfriend along with my 2 kids in their 30's with another 30 year old friend. It was an incredible experience. The hospitality of the staff is one of the best things you can find at this resort. I highly recommend the Olivos restaurant and the pizza area. The resort also has an entertainment venue where we had the opportunity to listen to a wonderful mariachi performance!We would especially like to thank Mayel, Oscar, Jony, and many other team people who made our stay truly… It was an incredible experience.
