Slightly out of town, but a great place in which to stay. Self service reception, so need WhatsApp, the hotel is very clean, tidy and quiet. We had a fabulous stay. Our room was good for two of us, wardrobe and bathroom with bath and shower over bath. Do download the Bolt app for taxis, an extremely fast and efficient way to travel over Riga.Slightly out of town, but a great place in which to stay. Nice breakfast. Quite a number of options available. It was nice and quite. What a lovely experience staying at Gertrude hotel. Great customer service and yes we had a few issues but they were fixed and so quickly. The hotel itself is in a great location and is beautifuly different. A very dated old fashioned hotel with decor from the seventies.A system of self check in went ok but with nobody on site then I wouldn't have wanted any issues.The pros - you get a free room safe. It's walkable to the city centre or use Bolt to get a cab.The cons - the rooms are weary and small. A horrible carpet and old curtains with a rock hard bed. Shower is ok but nothing great.
