We had a nice suite but it made absolutely no sense that the bathroom door was glass. It actually created a safety issue at night and provided absolutely no privacy for the user even with the curtain in there because there was also a mirror that could be seen from the outside. Breakfast staff were very nice though breakfast selections were a bit odd. A beautiful building with tons of character from the many original features. Comfortable beds with lovely toiletries in the bath/shower room. Very small towels which were a bit disappointing. So why only 3 stars? Our room, a Suite (room 203) was spacious and well equipped, however the air conditioning didn’t work so it was quite humid and stuffy. We adored this hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the first thing I noticed was just how lovely the reception area smelt. We were greeted very warmly by a friendly receptionist.
