  Awful rooms, not for western guests

  The building itself was stunning and the food excellent, the staff spoke English well but the room was dreadful, no shower facilities, a dirty concrete balcony facing out on a noisy service yard and without chairs.   Excellent place to stay

  My wife and I stayed 2 nights here and had a wonderful experience. The food was incredible and all the people were very nice. The room was very comfortable and it was nice to have a bathroom attached. This is a good place to stay for exploring the area.My wife and I stayed 2 nights here and had a wonderful experience.   I stayed here for two days and I think I may have been the only guest. I was upgraded to the suite, which was a lovely large room, private bath, and a pretty seating area with a garden view. The food was absolutely amazing....beautifully presented and incredibly tasty (and you can order alcohol, which was a nice surprise). The location is great.   Stunning Garden Views, very peaceful temple. The Temple is in a very convenient place in the city of Koya-san in the mountains of Wakayama Prefecture. Their room was comfortable and breakfast and dinner meals very delicious. Their morning meditation was very relaxing, informative and enlightening.   My daughter and I stayed in Sojuin for one night. The place has an excellent location, and very clean and well-organized facilities and rooms.
