A Belated Review for a Truly Excellent Stay

    22 Jul 2026

Although we stayed here back in February 2026, we realized we never got around to writing a review—better late than never! We had a wonderful stay at Mercure Nagano Matsushiro Resort & Spa. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring Nagano.Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious Japanese and Western dishes, and t…

    Large room.

    18 May 2026

The Mercure hotel is part of a larger chain of hotels, the foyer is large and impressive. The staff are professional but not that friendly, the rooms are large and clean but are very out of date & could do with a little TLC. Beds are comfortable & the sower was ok. ??? ????????????????, ??????? / ???? ???? at Mercure Nagano Matsushiro Resort & Spa, responded to this review Thank y…

There is a hotel buffet restaurant for dinner, but most people we saw walked to a nearby supermarket or convenience store and bought tak…

Decent price but needs major refresh.

    31 Jan 2026

This was my first time visiting this hotel near Nagano. It turns out to be fairly far from the main train station about 30 minutes on a bus. Makes it a little inconvenient for seeing things. One thing you notice about the hotel once you get here is that it has seen better days. It is in dire need of a refresh. It reminds me of motels from the '80s back in North America. Everything from the elevato…

    Good and Bad

    04 Jan 2026

Going to give a pretty honest review:The Good: The food here is fantastic. Enjoyed both the breakfast and the dinner and it was delicious with a ton of options. You can't go wrong with the food, and it was also pretty awesome that they had two separate cocktail hours for the guests in which you could get drinks and light snacks. The bad: First, the location is pretty far away from the train station…
