Although the city hotel is within comfortable walking distance of Kyoto station and its Bullet Train platforms, the hotel runs a complimentary shuttle service to and from the station approximately 6 times an hour, so one rarely has to wait more than a few minutes, and the ride itself takes just 2-3 minutes. From Kyoto station, there is rail access to Nara, Osaka and Kansai Airport, and from Kyoto station bus terminal, a cheap and regular local bus service fans out across the city giving easy access to every major sightseeing attraction in Kyoto. Kyoto Tower is a 5-minute walk from the city hotel, Nishi Honganji Temple is a 15-minute walk and the Kyoto Railway Museum is around a 10-minute drive away.
