JR Inn Sapporo 5star for me

    rating10 Jan 2026

The place was incredibly near the station about a five minute walk to Sapporo station, Daimaru, Stellar Place and underground that get you to odori park. I think all rooms are facing the railway which is cool specially when its snowing. Staff were really nice and greets you all the time (really love the Japanese culture). I felt that our room is somehow bigger. There is a big desk to pu things. Medium luggage can fit under the desk. Bathroom is small, thats fine its just for relaxing your feet after a long day walking. If we were to come back this is one place we would look at always.

Reliable Comfort Near Sapporo Station: Our Third Stay at JR Inn

    rating14 Jun 2025

This was our third stay at JR Inn Sapporo and the sixth hotel on our journey. Its location remains one of its greatest strengths—just a short walk from Sapporo Station, making it a convenient base for exploring the city.During our visit, there was some ongoing construction nearby, but it didn’t noticeably impact our comfort. One feature we’ve always appreciated is the ability to choose our preferred pillows from the lobby—a small but thoughtful touch that adds to the overall experience. Our room was comfortably sized, with a standard double bed and enough space to open our luggage without feeling cramped. It also came with a proper desk and chair, which was handy for daily planning or catching up on light work. The TV only had basic Japanese channels, but we didn’t mind, as we spent most of our time outside. The complimentary breakfast was another welcome perk—simple, but a nice way to start the day.All in all, JR Inn Sapporo remains a reliable and pleasant choice for us: clean, comfortable, and conveniently located with thoughtful amenities.

Convenient and Comfortable: A Second Stay at JR Inn Sapporo

    rating21 Jan 2025

We arrived in Sapporo from Asahikawa and checked into JR Inn Sapporo, which was our second time staying there. It brought back memories from our first visit 7 years ago.The room was medium-sized—not too big, but not too small either. The furniture felt a bit old-fashioned, but the queen-size bed was comfortable and had plenty of space for both of us. The room also had a long desk by the window, which was great for working or organising our plans. The double-layered window did a good job of blocking out the noise from the nearby train tracks, which was a nice touch given the hotel’s location. There was also an air purifier in the room, which helped keep the air fresh, a small but thoughtful detail.A thoughtful feature was the option to select our preferred pillows, which we could easily pick up at the lobby. It was a small detail, but it made a significant difference in ensuring a restful night's sleep. We chose a rate that included breakfast, which was a nice bonus. It offered a good variety, so it was a convenient and easy way to start the day. The hotel’s location was ideal—just a short walk to Daimaru, Stellar Place, and JR Sapporo Station, so it was perfect for exploring the city. Everything was nearby, whether we were shopping, eating, or catching a train. While the decor could have used an update, the overall experience and value for money made it a solid choice, especially for those who wanted a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Sapporo.

    Comfortable and good location

    rating07 Aug 2024

This hotel is just 8 minutes walk to the Sapporo station. You can walk through Daimaru and then cross 2 streets you will arrive at the entrance. The room is comfortable and there are pillows of different hardness for you to select at the lobby. Simple buns, coffee and juice are served for breakfast. Just note that it is next to the train station, inevitably you will hear some noise.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in

    rating22 Oct 2023

Of all the business class hotels I’ve stayed in, this was one of the best. Room was larger than most, a USB cable to charge iPhone and a C connection was in the room, very handy. Pillow selection, good location near station, vending machine, computer and printer, good amenities. Really loved the breakfast as it was simple, tasty and filling. Breads, rolls, margarine, jam and a spread of tuna and mayonnaise. Juice, coffee and 3 types of soup. I particularly liked the cream chowder. Boiled eggs, potato salad, Hokkaido pudding and yoghurt were in a refrigerated cabinet. On busy mornings the breakfast room still flowed. We stayed 4 nights and will stay again when in Sapporo. Highly recommend.
