  Don’t be fooled by good marketing

  The Knot Hiroshima looks incredibly cool and upmarket online, all sleek photos and stylish interiors. What you actually get when you arrive is a completely different story. The rooms are tiny, cheap feeling and frankly unclean. The carpet was dirty and the overall standard was well below what the website would have you believe.Amenities were basically non existent. No iron, no ironing board, and the TV had no streaming capability whatsoever. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, the kind you would expect from a budget hostel rather than a hotel presenting itself as a boutique lifestyle property.Staff were surly and unhelpful, which only added to the disappointing experience.The one saving grace is the rooftop bar, which is genuinely good and lives up to the aesthetic the hotel is trying to sell. Unfortunately a nice bar does not make up for everything else falling so short.If you are visiting Hiroshima, save your money and stay somewhere that delivers on its promises rather than relying on clever photography to mask a substandard product. Misleading marketing at its worst.

  Really enjoyed our time in Hiroshima and this hotel is located only a 5 min walk from the peace memorial park which was convenient for us since we only stayed one night. No issues found. Room was small but we only slept in there and found that all rooms were small in Japan which never bothered us as we didn't want to spend our time in the room in the first place. No issues found.

  Disappointing, overrated, mean spirited Hiroshima hotel

  The Knot Hiroshima could not be more disappointing if it tried. We’ve spent 12 incredible nights travelling across Japan at a range of hotels. The Knot is the worst we’ve stayed at by a long way and is an absolute a rip off! Our twin room cost £350 UK pounds per night. The website implies this is a 5 star hotel. It’s completely misleading. This a budget hotel charging vastly inflated prices. Our room was 403. The individual beds are a good size and sheets appear clean. The room itself is very small. The bathroom is extremely cramped and smells of mildew. The carpet is absolutely FILTHY. It’s made up of 1970s type squares that could easily be replaced but they have not been. The slippers provided are thin and cheap. We are doing all we can not to touch the floor with our bare feet. At check-in we were given two drinks vouchers for the rooftop bar that doubles as the reception. It seemed like a nice gesture until we were told we could only choose from 4 drinks; the volume we got were ‘tasters’ - not even actual drinks! This hotel should be thoroughly embarrassed. It’s an extremely poor representation of Japan - which in reality has a clean, organised and generous culture.

  Not a great experience… when you arrive, reception is on the top floor of the hotel and the reception desk is shared with the bar … drinks are served in plastic cups … rooms don’t get cleaned unless you pay extra though towels are changed daily. The hotel felt very run down and tired and in need of an upgrade.

  I Have been calling this hotel for 2 weeks and no answer. I have never experienced a hotel with no service like this. I am hoping I cam cancel my booking as I don't have a good feeling at all. Seems like it has gone down hill. very sad because it was a nice hotel.
