Stayed 3 nights here, and all in all had a very comfortable stay. This is a large, older hotel with a lot of history in its walls. The room interior is rather dated, however, it was clean and everything was in working order. New, super large TV in the room. Nice classic lobby and a lot of dining options in the hotel. This was a very exciting find. It is right beside the subway station and arriving there was like going back in time with the bellhops mostly ladies in full uniform and caps to greet you and take your bags whilst they send you to reception to check in. The hotel location stood out because of it being slightly out of the busy areas of Tenjin and Hakata. Yet traveling to these areas are a breeze with the bus and the station is just 2mins walk. We loved staying at this hotel. Our bags were taken to our room, the staff were lovely and we received an upgrade to a large room with a lounge area and entrance hall. I loved the vintage feel. Each night when we came back to our room it felt cosy, comfortable and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
