Not recommended to stay here, towels have really awful odor

    rating01 Apr 2026

Would not recommend this hotel. The only positives were1. Location close to Hakata station, but there are other hotels just as close.2. The staff could speak English, although half the time they looked like Zombies.3. At least you can store your luggage, some hotels refuse it, but still force you out at 11am. So dumb. Check with your hotel BEFORE you book your flights! There are many hotels to choose from, you can choose another, do not be worried about how far it looks on a map to Hakata Station. So long as you are willing to walk around 5-10 minutes, there are a lot of hotels in the area. I walked two subway stops to another area, took me 15 minutes, I walk fast. Within 5-7 minutes you have a lot of choices.Negatives:Elevators: This hotel has 247 rooms, they had two elevators only. 14 floors. The normal ratio of elevator to rooms is 75-100 per one elevator. Breakfast: Breakfast was aweful. The same thing everyday, and the food was not good. Eggs were runny, banans were cut up, weird, limited fruit, limited variety of everything! Ohhh and heaven forbid you forget your paper breakfast ticket, the process to go through another one takes time. Also ther eare too many people who booked breakfast, so it is crowded at times.Rooms: Rooms were functional I suppose, but toilet to sick space is really limited. When you lean over you will hit the sink. The rooms were small but OK. You can move around, if one person, if two, you might feel cramped, especially if you have two suitcases, but this is normal for Japan, so get used to it.Bathroom floor warped, the toilet is slanted with the floor and you can physically feel it, so bad. Also the door to the bathroom opens outwards instead of inwards, and the light switch is behind the door in the hall next to the room door, a very stupid design, but seems typical in Japan.Towels: OMG there is a very awful odor from the towels! I complained about this at least four times! Two staff actually smelled them, and they confirmed it. Especially when the towels get wet, they stink something awful! Maybe the cheap detergent they use is causing it. They said sorry, that was it. This is just bad service.Coin exchange OMG, this hotel even refused to change 4k coins to bills for me. So stupid. Hotel policy, what is that? I am not exchanging different currencies, I am exchanging Japanese yen for Japanese yen. Not every guest is going to ask, you have to go to the bank daily anyway! Overpriced: I paid over 2100USD for 9 nights. And I booked six months in advance. The price is insane, it is even more expensive than Tokyo. Cherry Blossom season? What? No! There were like three trees that bloomed. High expectation and no return, hotels are milking guests. 2100 USD for this mess? Especially the really awful towel smell. With nothing other than a sorry.... That is not how hotels should treat guests. I will never again stay at a Blossom hotel anywhere in Japan. For someone staying for so long at a hotel, I would expect much better service. This hotel rates itself as a four star hotel, I would beg to differ. Do not stay here. Find a better hotel.

    Excellent stay

    rating13 Feb 2026

Front desk personnel were friendly and check in (2pm onwards) was a breeze. We arrived much earlier and they were thoughtful to deliver our luggages to our room. Room size was big, considering the Osaka standard, and it was comfortable stay. They provided amenities and also bath salt at lobby for self service. Location was excellent, near Hakata station.

    Neutral

    rating28 Jan 2026

The front desk is about half half. Half are super friendly and the other are kind of neutral. I am currently at the Kumamoto location and it is far more superior. This one is a bit smaller and you can also hear people all around. I’m not sure if there’s much that can be done about that. The best draw to me was that it was close to a Lawson and the hakata station.

Blossom Fukuoka is on the Chikushi exit side of the station!

    rating20 Nov 2024

There are two JR Hotel Blossoms the Hakata Station area. Blossom Fukuoka is on the Chikushi exit side of the station (the other one is about 500 metres away on the other side of the station). We stayed for one night after the easy, two-stop subway trip from the Domestic airport terminal. Room was of an adequate size with good facilities , and next door to a Lawson Station convenience store.

Decent hotel, just 1 min walk from Hakata station.

    rating17 Oct 2023

This is a very decent hotel, which is close to Hakata station (1 min walk). You can get here by underground passageway when it is raining. The room has a clean bed, a cool AC, a large TV. I enjoyed using their POLA shampoo and conditioner, which has a fresh floral smell and make my hair smooth and silky.(it's hard to find good shampoo and conditioner in hotels these days). The staff is helpful and welcoming. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.
