The Dormy Inn hotel chain is consistently excellent. This was the 3rd or 4th Dormy Inn stay and we keep choosing it because of the value. Double room is very compact but the layout makes the best use of limited space. Perfect for two people who don't spend a lot of time in the room. Shower (no tub) is strong and A/C worked well. No daily cleaning service but you can deposit your trash/dirty towels… The Dormy Inn hotel chain is consistently excellent. Make sure that you know you put in this Dormy Inn's address onto Google Maps, or whichever service you use. I almost went to the Dormy Inn Premium that was a block away when I was first arriving in town! The only two main complaints I have are that walls and/or ceilings did not suppress sound between rooms as well as in my other hotels. The location was amazing - bus just outside the hotel and train around the corner. It was walkable to hakata station too. Fresh towels daily hung outside the door. One of few hotels that have an onsen (????), it had a cold pool, regular area and and o pool that had access to the outside area which felt wonderfully. Afterwards you have the waiting area with “ice candy” or Yakult bottles as refreshm… The location was amazing - bus just outside the hotel and train around the corner. The hotel is easy to find from the metro station. It is centrally located so you can walk to almost everywhere. The staff was friendly and helpful . Most spoke English well. In the lobby there are personal care products, in case you need anything. They offer ice pops on the afternoon and ramen at night. Both were good! The onsen is wonderful!
