This hotel is celebrating the 50th anniversary this month and the room shows. Although the room size is a bit small and decoration is a bit dated, the location close to the train station and many department stores easily made up. Centrally located hotel near Hakata Station so very convenient. It is rated as a 4+ star hotel but with older facilities, even though some renovations were probably done some years ago yet the hotel still show its age (the lesson is do not get fooled by the pictures on the website). Honestly this is not one of my best stays in Japan. As a Diamond member I was not upgraded because my 6 night stay was too long but that's alright. Upgrades are based on availability and not guaranteed, and the hotel offered 5,000 points in compensation. But the room they gave us seemed to be the smallest one they had.
