Too noisy to sleep - the hotel didn’t warn us
Booked three nights. On second night at around 9:00pm, there began a highly-amplified music event in the adjacent plaza. No way anyone in the hotel could sleep. Front desk apologized, said it would be until 2:00am for two nights, offered ear plugs. I have no problem with a music festival, but I have a huge problem with the hotel not disclosing/informing of this. Big hassle to wait until 2am to sle… Booked three nights. The streets have no names
Deep in the heart of the old city and impossible to find unless you arrive by knowledgeable taxi driver because as U2 once said “the streets have no name”. Thinking I could find it using a completely useless google map, I walked from the station. 2h later and having 3 locals giving me completely different directions I retraced my way back to the station- and got a taxi who guided me there effortle… Deep in the heart of the old city and impossible to find unless you arrive by knowledgeable taxi driver because as U2 once said “the streets have no name”. Excellent value. Best location right on the Piazza dei Signori. My room was spacious, single-occupancy but with a king-sized bed. Very quiet.
