We stayed at the Modernist before getting on cruise. The hotel is in a very good location with lots of shopping and dining within an easy walk. Its in a very nice section of Trieste that easily walkable to all of the major attractions including the Cathedrals, main square, and the Roman amphitheater which is right across the street. We arrived as a group of 7 friends, couples, at this wonderful hotel Modernist, located in the heart of Thessaloniki. Kind, welcoming, professional, smiling staff and I could go on and on. We are currently staying at this hotel . We flew into Trieste for two nights before our cruise .Before arrival , any questions we had were swiftly answered . Almost everything about our stay at this hotel deserves praises, with one notable exception: the towels. During our two-night stay, we were provided with two sets of towels that were noticeably thin, worn, and even had small holes. For a hotel of this standard, this was a surprising letdown.
