Great Hotel in a great location
We have just returned from 10 days at this lovely hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the staff in the restaurant. They could not do enough and we're always cheerful and friendly.The food was very good and varied.Excellent location. Not worth the money

Old World Charm , if a little " dated" but we loved it !
Old World Charm, if you like slick, modern, corporate , this isnt for you. Its a large hotel, with mainly a more mature clientele . Our room had a ' side ' lake view and balcony. The view was absolutely breathtaking . The rooms are comfy, the bathrooms charming but slightly haphazard with bath plugs that dont fit, but its so pretty we didnt care . Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Special mention to all the staff at check in who were very kind & helpful! We had 2 rooms for our family of 4 which were ready before the check in time, spotlessly clean and spacious with amazing views & lovely balconies. Disappointed
We had a superior lake view room. It was so small. Not enough storage and we kept having to move a solitary armchair to either get into the wardrobe or out onto the balcony. I would have thought that a 4* hotel would have provided tea/coffee making facilities or at least a kettle but no. Apparently it is if you have a suite.
