Reception staff were lovely and even provided a tray with kettle and cups and saucers and some tea for the room.Room was very small and dated but clean.We asked for a balcony but it was unusable as it was small had 3 air conditioning units on it which blew you to bits if you tried to sit out on it. We had a great stay here during the Palio in August 2026. Walkable to everything, including the Campo (10-15 minutes) and train station (10-15 minutes). Located in the Lupa Contrada. Had 4 nights at this hotel at the end of May 2026. The air conditioner did not work, complained to the front desk who said it would be fixed the next day. They provided a portable fan that I had to remove the guard from to quiten the rattle noise down. The next day they said they had replaced the unit, however they replaced another rooms unit not ours. They then provided a portable air conditioner… Had 4 nights at this hotel at the end of May 2026. Truly enjoyed everything about our stay at Hotel MInerva, and I highly recommend it. We had a room 620 with a balcony. It was very secluded and perfect for celebrating our 40th anniversary. The view was stunning and the whole experience was very relaxing. Our visit to lovely Siena was enhanced by our accommodations at Hotel Minerva. The hotel is well located for reaching the many sights on foot (through an energetic walk) up and down the charming streets of this old town.
