As per prior reviews this place is a bit tired and could do with some attention and a safe in the room. But...... the service is good, breakfast basic but good and the location is really central. 2nd time I stayed at the Hotel Duomo. It is very well located, and you get the Italian experience. Reception is very accommodating, and will make a dinner reservation at your favorite restaurant of you choice, just give them a few days notice in advance, which is a good idea especially on a Friday or Saturday night. GREAT location very near the Piazza del Campo-- THE center of town!! Although the interior is dated the staff is extremely helpful and the breakfast buffet was impressive! I want to plug the stationery store down the street- at Via di Citta 54- lots of beautiful journals and papers, note cards and pens/pencils.
