Lovely hotel in the heart of Siena. Location location location.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip. The hotel was lovely, positioned in the centre of Siena. It felt very boutique and not quite as luxury as the other hotels we have stayed in on our trip. Nonetheless we did have bathrobes and slippers, a turn down service and a complimentary bottle of prosecco on arrival. The bathrobes were the plushest we've had on our trip. I loved the Grand Hotel Continental which certainly lived up to its name. Stunning public areas and overall just full of character. My bedroom was gorgeous. Super king-size bed was extremely comfortable, excellent pillows. While I did like the stone floors I thought if the room was part-carpeted it would have added extra warmth. Super impressed with this hotel and staff! We were met outside with umbrellas as it was raining. Super friendly staff. Elena helped me contact a doctor's office our first morning as my husband was ill. They also arranged a taxi to get him to the doctor's office.
