  My family and I have been coming to this hotel over 10 years and the standard has always been the same. The hotel is very clean, great food, great service and the facilities and location is fantastic! The atmosphere is very friendly and the value for money is very good.

  Booked this hotel based on the reviews on here about the hospitable team. We however had mixed feelings about this hotel.The good:* Breakfast was very good, everything was fresh and delicious. It tasted home made and the coffee was superb!* F&B team were very hard working and kind.* Front office team were kind.* Location is perfect if you want to go to the restaurants in Cervia, the beach is not even a minute away and you can walk a bit for the shopping streets on the right side.* Private parking (20 euro's a day) behind a closed fence.* The walls and ceiling were nicely renovated of the rooms. * The restaurant provided delicious foods.* Swimming pool was divine! Plus service to your sun beds with drinks and complimentary snack (peanuts or chips). * They had great respect for the DND sign.* They offer to carry your luggage to the room.The not so good:* We wanted a nice weekend get-away to enjoy the warm weekend, however the air-conditioning wasn't turned on. We barely slept because we were at the top floor.* Next day we gave the feedback, the manager first explained that the air-co will be turned on when we leave (when the rain and bad weather is there). I couldn't understand how he didn't anticipate on this. The entire town was fully booked and it was a great opportunity for every hotel to welcome new guests who you could turn to frequent stayers. His solution after we came back, was to change to another room. The room was on a different wing so it was less hot, it was doable with the door opened at night and the curtains closed, which at that side could open the windows because it was more quiet. The initial room couldn't because you'd hear the partying teens at the boulevard and the loud music from the club down the boulevard, once you open the windows. The windows however, once closed are isolated enough not to be disturbed by this.All in all, a very good solution by the manager and we appreciate him for it, else we would've checked out and go home. * In the first room the shower was lacking pressure. I felt too tired to complain about it.* In the second room, the bathtub couldn't fill up with water, it got drained. The shower leaked on the little bar stool next to the glass divider, making it a big mess. Because I already complained about the heat in the initial room I felt it was too much to say this all at checkout, my bad! * The restaurant provided no prices on the menu. It was a surprise until checkout. 50 euro per person. I find it quite high compared to its competitors and it isn't good to keep this as a surprise.* It lacked a coffee/tea maker in the room.Suggestions to improve:* One big bottle of complimentary water on every room.* A coffee/tea maker on every room.* Regular checks on the baths and showers to see if they're functioning.* The elevators could use an upgrade.It has the potential to be an excellent mid hotel however for now I cannot recommend it if they don't fix these points.

  An authentic and fabulous ‘Romagnolo’ hotel

  The Hotel Doge represents the quintessential ‘Romagnola experience’. Here you will find the attentive and very friendly service that is a gift of the hôtellerie tradition of this land. The personnel is all well prepared, with exquisite manners, and always happy to provide suggestions and go out of their ways to make you happy. The bedroom are comfortable and clean, the restaurant and bar are top notch with a buffet breakfast that can cater for all tastes, including that of international guests. The wine list is extremely well curated and features many local IGTS and DOCGS. The seaside service was excellent too! In conclusion, a beautiful experience in the fabulous Emilia Romagna Adriatic Sea! Well done Hotel Doge!

  Such a fantastic hotel: the staff is incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to go the extra mile to make the guests feel comfortable and special. We went with our 1-year old daughter and the room, food and overall experience was absolutely amazing! The rooms are very clean and the large swimming pool is a gem. Special mention to the chef and the maitre d’ for the outstanding cuisine and service.   I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. The hotel is excellent, the food and service is exceptional! It also has a great swimming pool and is literally a 5 min walk to the beach.
