Spent 1 night there. Terrible room. Had connecting door to the next one. Zero soundproofing to the point that is like being part of the conversation next door..No water in the room apart from a small bottle in the minibar. No coffee machine either. The 1st room they gave me was a joke..it was supposed to be a suite , had no separate sitting area and it was overlooking the car park..Do yourselves a favour and go somewhere else.

A stunning Art Deco hotel with a grand lobby and fabulous history. However, beware of rooms with adjoining doors as they are not well sound insulated..Booked an executive double room. We were allocated a small room with a balcony overlooking the garden which also had a connecting door to the next room. However, there was no sound insulation from the adjoining room and EVERY word of the conversation in the room next door could be heard as if they were sharing in the same room. It was disturbing and embarrassing when the couple next door started shouting and the front desk had to be called.The bathroom was very stylish with bathrobes and magnifying mirror as well as soap BUT greatly disliked the combined bath/shower. It was very awkward to use and is unsuitable for older or disabled guests.Breakfast was included and was an excellent range of fresh and hot food.No kettle or cups were provided in the room but complimentary water was provided.Minimal English languages channels on the TV and the internet connection was very average

Our rating was probably 3.5! For the price paid to stay at this famous hotel for three nights we were somewhat underwhelmed. Our room had a tiny balcony overlooking a car park. The couple who we were travelling with were assigned a room with an enormous terrace overlooking the beach. That’s the luck of the drawer! The air conditioning in our room was permanently set at 26 degrees. We reported this to Management and they told us to be patient as they tried to fix this.it took two nights,When you are paying what we consider top dollar for accommodation at the Grand Hotel, imagine our surprise at being told we had to pay the equivalent of AUD 200 each day to access the private beach. The alternative was to use the hotel’s pool which was not heated. Coming from Australia paying to use a beach is a completely foreign concept. Finally, there were building works occurring at the hotel, which we did not know about until we checked in. While my wife was lounging at the hotel’s pool one afternoon tiny fragments of paint or plaster from the building works ‘rained’ on her.All in all, we had hoped for a memorable experience at the Grand Hotel but did not get it.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel for a 6 daay break in August, and couldnt fault the high standards of service, accommodation and very importantly, food!The beach was pristine and extremely well run the very helpful Christian and colleagues kept everything in tip top order.The buffet lunch in the beach restaurant was beyond compare- we were sending unbelievable photos of the amazing variety of delicious choices available every lunch time. Masses of vegatables and salads as well as meat fish and pasta- all freshly cooked and presented in a most appetising way.Jon Paulo in reservations was helpful in every way and looked after us making sure our room choice was exactly what we wanted.In the dining room the food was truly exceptional and not at all what you might expect in a hotel restaurant. Every night it was a fresh and innovative meal which would have a 10 out of 10 for taste, presentation and no extended wait times!Our lovely wine sommelier Elida was so knowledgeable and not just about Italian wines ! We learned a lot from her and her recommendations were always excellent.What more can I say - we had a lovely relaxing break at this lovely grand old hotel -which has been refurbished to the highest standards without losing the original beauty of its interiors- which sadly seems to happen at a lot of hotels, and they lose their charm. Our thanks to all the lovely staff! I

A very traditional 5* hotel

We had a pleasant 4 night stay. The hotel has a private beach and a small kids pool next to the beach which was fantastic. The main pool isn’t heated so very cold for kids even in August. I’d say it is very traditional in style which is not what we usually opt for in a hotel, however we were meeting friends there and it seems like the best hotel in Rimini. The main negative for us is that as with much of Italy, the restaurant was not prepared for those who have a nut allergy, I only found one helpful waiter who was able to speak good enough English to discuss what food definitely did not contain nuts
