My wife & I stayed here with another couple (all of us early 70s) for three nights in May 2026. We chose it based on a recommendation in Rick Steves' travel book but have mixed feelings about our stay. The least friendly front desk staff we’ve ever had in Europe. Every person on every shift was cold and had an attitude. They clearly all hate their jobs. Breakfast was also lacking. It is well run, well warmed in the winter, and reasonably quiet all day and night. The WiFi was fine; I didn’t try the TV. You have to wait the usual time for hot water and be braced when you switch from handheld to overhead spray. The bed was lumpy. I led a university group of 40+. We loved our stay here. The rooms were bright, clean, and very comfortable. The location is wonderful, in the shadow of the Basilica of St. Anthony.
