Belle époque charm with the best lake views on Lago Maggiore

We spent three nights at the Grand Hotel Majestic and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel's greatest strengths are its superb lakeside location, elegant Belle Époque atmosphere and beautifully maintained gardens directly on Lago Maggiore.Our Junior Suite with front lake view was worth every euro. Waking up to views of the Borromean Islands and enjoying coffee on the terrace in the fresh morning… We spent three nights at the Grand Hotel Majestic and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel but be wary about the rooms

The Grand Hotel Majestic is a beautiful hotel located on the shores of Lake Maggiore. The main lobby and staircase and gardens are lovely.Unfortunately the rooms we saw are in desperate need of an upgrade as very dated. As we were part of a tour group staying two nights, our rooms faced the front of the hotel (as opposed to the lake) and the outside flood lights that light up the hotel also lit up… The Grand Hotel Majestic is a beautiful hotel located on the shores of Lake Maggiore. The main lobby and staircase and gardens are lovely.Unfortunately the rooms we saw are in desperate need of an upgrade as very dated. As we were part of a tour group staying…

Our room was a very small corner room and looked nothing like the website. Room faced the street and seemed damp when you woke up in the morning and possibly moldy. My husband came down with a bad cold on our last day at this hotel. Drapes and bedspread looked very dated and in need of replacement. Location of hotel was at least a 10-15 minute walk to town so if you have mobility issues it is chal… Our room was a very small corner room and looked nothing like the website.
