We stayed here due to its location to the railway station. It is a short walk, about 15 minutes, but there are several road crossings and there is normally a lot of traffic, so be careful. The hotel itself is quite modern. The room we had was clean and well appointed, including a small fridge. The WiFi was very good, and the hotel restaurant serves very nice local cuisine. Food is at best average. Unfortunately there is no alternative around.The tagliatelle was very marbled, half of the meat was not good.The salmon was OK.Advice - try to eat in town before heading to hotel and checking in.Food is at best average. A good location for the ferry to Corsica or Sardinia, although it can be 30 minutes to drive there. The family room was large, comfortable and quiet. Nice food in the restaurant. An early start for the ferry meant we asked for the bagged breakfast; it was huge and very welcome. We also stopped here on our way back and the breakfast in the restaurant was amazing. As others have said, this hotel is acceptable and could be very good with a few changes.Overall the hotel and rooms are modern and clean but our room needed a bit of a refresh with some peeling wallpaper and some mould patches in the bathroom.One other thing to note was the beds were two singles pushed together to make a double. We had a quick one night stop over at the Max Hotel in Livorno before catching the ferry to Corsica.The hotel room was a nice size and very clean.
