The whole experience was ok not great

The hotel has a great view. it’s not that great inside smells a little bit. The love is not great. The elevator is old. My partner and I stayed at Hotel Shelley from the 1st to the 4th of July. We were able to secure a wonderful room with a queen size bed with a balcony overlooking the bay. Despite being a last minute booking the price was very fair. Getting to the hotel was very easy. Our train from Firenze dropped us off at Sarzana and it was a short cab ride (15 min.) from the train station. We (a family of 3, ages 44/45/12) spent a few lovely days here end of July 2024. The reviews we read ahead of the stay made us a bit uncertain, but this turned out to be totally unnecessary!
