Our annual stay at the Hotel Firenze e Continentale in La Spezia was as superb as always! The hotel is very modern with a beautiful splash of vintage architecture, has an incredible breakfast buffet, an elegant in-house Bar/Ristorante called "Terminus Cafe'", and an amazing attentive staff second to none! Loved this hotel. Beautiful rooms, nice & quiet - despite being just a few steps down the road from the train station. Rooms were clean, spacious & well laid out. The complimentary breakfast was delicious - so many choices even for the fussiest of eaters. The front desk staff were polite & helpful, always with a smile :-) I thoroughly recommend staying here!Loved this hotel. Good location and comfortable hotel in the city center. The rooms are clean, quiet, and modern, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and the overall atmosphere is pleasant. The location was excellent, and the breakfast was very good. The reception area, lobby, and breakfast room were all quite impressive upon arrival. However, the room itself was disappointing and did not match the photos shown on Booking.com. It seemed outdated and in need of refurbishment, as if the pictures were taken when it was newly decorated but not updated since. We had booked a double room, but wanted to upgrade as the room was very small. The staff went out of their way to accomodate us and it was the Easter weekend. We got the upgrade for 4 of the 5 nights. As they could not do the 5 nights, they gave us breakfast for free.
