Good except for breakfast service

We enjoyed our stay, but you really could improve the breakfast service greatly without much effort.The coffee machine is rather slow and causes - sometimes very long - queues every morning. I think you should have a second machine in the larger room.The organisation of the tables is not logical or ergonomic. Many are much too close together. The second breakfast room could easily be improved with a coffee machine and a buffet, which would avoid so many people going into the main.Finally, we notice that towards the end of the breakfast service, the buffet is no longer replenished and the coffee machine is turned of extremely punctually. This is particularly annoying, due to the queueing problem mentioned above.

The GOOD: The hotel is nicely situated. Rooms were clean. Spa is the best thing about this place. Lovely woman at check in upgraded me to Jr Suite and a view. The BAD: No one helps you with your bags. Food is inedible Staff indifferent to downright rude. The UGLY: Place is under MAJOR renovation which is not indicated ANYWHERE in their website and nothing I could find on this site. Constant jackhammering from inside and whatever construction is going on outside. They are building something in Front of the hotel.

Location was great ,very near centre , short steep hill up to the property but worth the climb . Hotel spotless , suberb housekeeping with exceptional attention to detail, well done housekeeping staff . beaufiful new bathroom .Issue with lack of accessable sockets in room but as it is newly renovated I'm sure this will be rectified soon , Breakfast was good , plenty of choice, staff very pleasant . Overall a very nice hotel , would recommmend.

Not the best experience.We booked a family room and were disappointed. Yes, the hotel has a good location, historical interiors and a normal breakfast. That's all. Otherwise, there are only downsides:1. The family room is located on the 5th floor on the roof. There is no elevator. You have to go up with your luggage (which no one helps you with) on foot along a narrow iron staircase. And since it is a family room, because families stay there, there is usually a lot of luggage.2. Terrible beds with protruding springs3. No curtains on the windows. So you wake up with your children)4. The room has a very strong smell of cleaning chemicals5. Weak water pressure in the shower6. The water is heated by a heater, it is very small for a family of 4. The last one washes with cold water.Oh, yes, there is a great view from the tiny window))

4 Star Hotel??? But 5 Stars for the staff !

We are thankful for TripAdvisor.We are never mean or rude but just give our honest opinion upon personal experience for Hotels to think about certain things and improve customer satisfaction.Well situated Hotel close to the beach but a quite steep walk for elderly or families with little kids - just to consider !We personally are used to hiking and we loved the walk Most friendly welcome from the Reception upon arrival what is always a good start at the check in process.Room is clean , modern and spacious with sea view.The amenities in the room were definitely NOT what a 4 star hotel should offer but more than extremely motel style basics .The management definitely is running the hotel on the cheapest side as possible and easy changes could make the stay of guests more enjoyable.Something to think about .No coffee maker ( kettle with powder coffee and only black tea!)No cups or glasses ( 2 mini paper disposable cups!)No tissue of Kleenex boxes.No Conditioner No Body lotionNo mirror with enhancements No facial towels No complimentary water upon arrival ( in August !!!)No proper shampoo ( general body wash for everything )No slippers etc et. No adequate Glases in the mini bar( plastic cups wrapped in plastic!)And the list goes on and on.We noticed immediately in the restaurant almost every chair cover with terrible stains and most of them not ironed what ruined the first impression .Easy fix: remove-wash-iron it !We booked half board and dinner was tasty . Thank you to the cook for his skills. The service at dinner was very nice . Our waitress Juliet took amazing care of us! Thank you !Juliet!Breakfast Cappuccinos were a poem ( Grazie to Miss Marina) but on the other hand the presentation of the buffet lacked of cleanliness and love -sadly because there is so much potential for easy steps to improve it . Staff is very friendly but need more supervision!All in all the best part of our visit were the sniles and friendly greetings of the wonderful staff!
