The building's location and the quality of the finishes are the only reasons to stay here. Everything else comes at an extra cost, even though the rates are already very high for Italy. Examples: mineral water in the room (€4), parking (€25/day or €20/day for uncovered), bike rental (€15), poolside sun loungers with cushions (€120/day—yes, 120, not 12!—for two). Bring Earplugs — There May Be a Disco Outside Your Room

Boom-da-da-Boom! The disco party outside our patio raged until 11pm. After a long, hot and exhausting day exploring Portofino and Cinque Terre, we looked forward to getting back to the hotel room and getting much needed rest.But, that was not to be. Promptly at 7:30pm, the DJ started laying down his tracks with gusto, adding a laser and light show as soon as it was dark --- all directly outside ou… Boom-da-da-Boom! My family and I from the U.S stayed here for four nights in the Presidential Suite on the top floor. Overall, this is a great hotel and I would have given ut 5 stars were it not for air conditioning issues that were never really fixed. The suite is large with three bathrooms and offers the best views in all of Chiavari but the the first floor AC never really worked well.
