  I reached Hotel Bellevue around 11.10pm at night, a female, solo traveller. Had advised them of my check in time.   This hotel is excellent. The rooms are very clean, the service is good, and the location is very convenient. It’s across from the main train station, but set up on a hill with a nice view. My room was not facing the street and was quiet. I met several of the front-desk staff during the day and evening…all of them were helpful and polite.   This hotel is past its prime. It was probably super swanky when it was built, and has stunning views over Genoas port and railway station - but it has not kept up to modern standards. The rooms feel outdated and old. However: the price is low, and for travellers arriving by train the hotel could not be better placed.   Stayed while motor cycling through Europe called in on the off chance they had rooms lady on reception was very helpful and friendly.
