  Excellent experience despite not being near tropea downtown

  What a very pleasant surprise by the hospitality, quality of food, attention to detail, and accommodations to a local town. Despite arriving and realizing it was away from the main town of tropea, we were quickly greeted and surrounded by hospitality for every amenity necessary. There is a experience of walking the beautiful pathway down to the beach where umbrellas and patio chairs. Await you. This hotel is drying very hard to accommodate each and every one of us.   Bring a CO detector and sleep with the balcony door open

  If you stay here, travel with a carbon monoxide detector or sleep with the sliding doors open. My boyfriend and I almost died in Room 102 and ended up at the hospital due to carbon monoxide poisoning in October, 2024. In our opinion, the management’s response has been reckless. The operations manager indicated both in conversation and in writing that it is “impossible” that we would have suffered carbon monoxide poisoning in their hotel, despite us providing metrics showing all of our symptoms being consistent with CO poisoning. This is an offensive and unenlightened approach to working in the hospitality industry, given how well documented carbon monoxide poisoning cases are. We implored Infinity to educate themselves on the causes and dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning and ensure all systems are functioning properly. iconio bagnato, Proprietario at Infinity Resort Tropea, responded to this review Dear Bethany,We appreciate your desire to share your personal feedback about your stay in Calabria.However, we feel it's important to clear up the situation to avoid any misunderstanding about our treatment of Guests staying at our property.First of all, our facility meets all the necessary ventilation system requirements mandated by Italian law.When we got your report and request for assistance from the unwell guest, our team and resort management quickly arranged for an ambulance to be sent.It's important to note that if any malfunctions or harmful substances had been found by hospital doctors, they would have been obligated to report it to the authorities.However, no such issues were found.As a precaution, our company promptly arranged for specialized A/C technicians to confirm the total absence of any toxic gases or substances in the resort's ventilation systems.This confirmation was repeated a few days later for a thorough assessment.Nothing suspicious has been found and documented.It's worth mentioning that we have not received any documentation from your side, or the hospital, indicating parameters consistent with carbon monoxide poisoning, as you stated even if with no official proof.Lastly, no other cases have been highlighted during the past years, much less during the current season;Therefore, we maintain that there is no evidence to support the claim of poisoning.Best regards, The Management Infinity Resort

  Good stay but should be better

  Nice hotel but like most hotels in Italy maintenance is sometimes not performed as it should be. Grounds could use some better care ,broken tiles fixed, mismatched moldings and runny paint should not be in a hotel at this price point. Pool is utra warm ,like a bathtub and not refreshing on a hot day. The sea is not accessible to most people .it is a dangerous climb on rocks to get to the water. Hotel should consider digging out a small are and placing a small ladder for easier and safer access. Rooms were clean with clean bedding , floor in shower was marble ,it was stained and should be replaced. Staff was nice and efficient and spoke English. Food was good with an excellent breakfast. Good but could be better.

  Bright, beautiful oasis.

  A beautiful relaxing place. I have to say this trip was one of our best Infinity Resort is a quiet resort about 3km outside Tropea. Behind a gated entrance is a pristine, calm and welcoming hotel on several tiers. The sea front is down a meandering cliff walk alive with wildlife, just bright and beautiful. The pool area is spotless overseen by a really lovely, helpful and polite Lifeguard. Pool towels need to be asked for but you can do that either through him or through the staff in the restaurant. The rooms cool and clean, serviced daily by an unseen housekeeping staff. The beds are comfortable and nothing was any bother, extra pillows and a blanket were supplied on request. Reception staff so nice, polite and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and served in the restaurant by the pool each day of our 5 day stay. Restaurant staff a couple a little standoffish but didn’t impact us. We only had lunch on one day but the chicken salad was one of the nicest we had in a long time.   Infinitely fabulous

  From day one we adored this resort. From the receptionists to the pool lifeguard, the restaurant team . The housekeeping and the gardening the friendly atmosphere here is just fab. The grounds are calming and relaxing . The food is beautiful. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. My sister and I are seasoned travelers and travel at least 5 times a year but this is by far one of our best holidays in years .
