Family Holiday base, but the atmosphere is boring

Hotel was nice and clean. the breakfast was average and the same every day. The staff there need to learn to smile, apart from one girl who worked being the bar, the rest could not even look at you and say hello (or smile). The Gargenelli restaurant however was great, food there was exceptional. The bar lunch menu isn't great very little choice, the one day where the restaurant was open for lunch… Hotel was nice and clean. the breakfast was average and the same every day. Beautiful hotel with a great outdoor pool. Ideal location for visiting Bologna (several local bus routes within a few minutes walk of the hotel). We organized our wedding lunch at savoia regency. The restaurant and the staff were wonderful. The location is very nice and the food was very good. They offer different menus. No 4 star hotel, hardly 3. Poor service all over the place. Breakfast not fresh, dirty tables, staff mostly absent. Drinks at the bar are expensive and served with ‘reluctance’. Very nice hotel and service. The pool is superb. We travelled with kids and they enjoyed as well. Breakfast is nice and dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good, had dinner there twice. Had a rental car but also took the close-by bus number 20 to downtown Bologna, which was handy. The rooms are good though not newly minted. Airport is close-ish.Very nice hotel and service. The pool is superb. We travelled with kids and they enjoyed as well. Breakfast is nice and dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good, had dinner there twice.
