I was pleasantly surprised with the room. It's about a 15-20 walk from the Centrale station which isn't bad if you are packing light. If you have bigger luggage it may feel like a trek esp in the heat. The center is right around the corner. Bologna is small so it's pretty easy to walk around. We stayed at the Hotel Metropolitan for 5 nights in July 2026. The hotel and service is excellent and all members of staff were charming. The room we had was perfect, very clean and good facilities, with efficient and much needed air conditioning.
