3rd time here ideal base to explore. 10 minute stroll from station to hotel exit station on the left . Rooms are clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Can’t say what the breakfast is like as we like to eat out . A restaurant next door ice cream parlour and pizza shop (would recommend) very close . Location was great for the train station and walking into the city centre. Hotel staff were lovely - big shout out to the breakfast ladies who were superb.The room was adequate for two but had very, very little space to hang and store clothes etc. I lived out of my suitcase the 5 days I was there which wasn't ideal. Air con worked ok and it needed to with the 35+ degree heat! Hotel Il Guercino… Location was great for the train station and walking into the city centre. Lovely little hotel, tucked just off the side streets south of Bologna Central. Ideally located within walking distance of just about everywhere in Bologna. Rooms are small but not cramped and the bathrooms are tidy and useable.
