  The room quality was quite clean. The reception and restaurant service were also good. The only downside is how the driver could drive a car smelling of alcohol. That's very dangerous for others.

  Mixed Experience During Family Stay

  We stayed at ibis Styles Batam from 16–17 February 2026 for a short family trip. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet our expectations compared to previous stays at other ibis Styles properties.Prior to arrival, we requested a Queen non-smoking room. However, upon check-in, we were informed that only smoking rooms were available. As we were traveling with family, we requested to change to a Twin room and have the beds joined together instead. The staff assisted with the request, but unfortunately there was no bed topper provided, resulting in an uncomfortable gap between the mattresses, which made our sleep less comfortable.Another major issue was the internet connection, which could not be accessed at all during our stay. For a modern hotel, especially under an international brand, reliable WiFi should be a basic standard facility.We also noticed several maintenance and cleanliness concerns:The wooden safety latch on the room door was damaged, which raised safety concerns.There were white powder-like residues on the curtain, which should have been checked during housekeeping inspection.During breakfast, we observed water dripping from the AC ceiling area in the dining space. This clearly requires maintenance attention for guest comfort and safety.On the positive side, the staff were polite and responsive when approached. However, overall room maintenance, cleanliness, and facility standards need improvement.✅ Final ThoughtsWhile the location is convenient, this stay fell below expectations in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and maintenance.   We had a wonderful stay at Ibis Styles Batam Nagoya. Even though we only stayed for one day, we enjoyed every bit of our holiday! My kids absolutely loved the swimming pool; it was definitely the highlight of their trip. The hotel’s vibrant and playful atmosphere made us feel welcome from the start. It’s the perfect spot for a quick family getaway.   Dear Management Team,I had a very pleasant stay at ibis Styles Batam Nagoya and would like to share my appreciation for your outstanding team.During check-in, my wife was informed that a smoking room was unavailable. When I arrived at the hotel, Front Office staff Friska calmly and patiently explained the situation and assured me that she would arrange a transfer from a non-smoking room to a smoking room as soon as one became available.The following day, Tania from the Front Office informed me that the smoking room was ready and arranged the transfer smoothly. I was happy—not simply because of the room change, but because of the genuine care, friendliness, and professionalism shown by the Front Office team, which truly made our stay comfortable and pleasant.A special shout-out to Putra for his exceptional, professional, and easygoing attitude. His humor and positive energy added fun and laughter to my day. If anyone needs recommendations on places to visit, I highly recommend approaching him.I would also like to commend Friska, Tania, Yohana, Putra, and Advant for their exceptional performance. They served with dedication, professionalism, and without prejudice, ensuring every guest felt welcomed and comfortable.Additionally, my sincere thanks to Natasha Azhar and Ari from the Dining Department for their professionalism, helpfulness, and warm smiles while on duty.
