  You can do much better

  The hotel was good, and the staff were very kind. However, it is far from Ubud, and there is not much to do outside the hotel. There are no activities nearby, so you mostly end up staying at the hotel, also at the hotel nothing to do no activities The price is a bit high compared to other hotels (€251 for 3 nights), especially since nothing was included—not even breakfast. The pool was under maintenance and closed during our stay.Although the hotel is located in front of the sea, there is not much you can do there.Overall, I do not recommend this hotel.

  It’s a very isolated location with a black, volcanic sand beach and ferocious waves! Not particularly clean although the staff are pleasant. Unfortunately very few of them speak English and they are somewhat sparse, so getting what you need is not straightforward. Breakfast passable, room service (à la carte) good. Budget for lots of taxi rides if you want to see anything. Pool in shade most of the day and not that clean. They don’t allow “Grab” cabs to pick you up from the premises - they say it’s to support local business - but when I discovered my airport taxi booked by the resort was four times what Grab would have charged, I smelled ulterior motive!   Lovely location and a good vibe and experience

  We live nearby and have been to most of the hotels in the area and many more in Sanur and Nusa Dua.The location is spectacular. The ocean,the volcano views, Nusa Penida and the black sand beach. Quiet and calm and very relaxing.This is the biggest plus to visit this hotel.The grounds are really well maintained and lovely with the exception of the veggie garden near the restaurant. As a gardener I would like to see somebody pay attention to this space as your guests walk by it every day.From the interior of the room we were in you notice that the hotel was built properly and has excellent infrastructure and has stood the test of time.However,the exterior has flaws that are minor but makes what is a spectacular venue look old. Rocks that face the walls and gypsum ceilings are not expensive.I do recognise that running a huge complex and employing many local people is a challenge when the hotel is not near a major attraction or shopping , etc..That would be my only complaint. I would hope that management would slowly attend to the missing stones and exterior face of the hotel complex would slowly be attended to.Your staff are kind and helpful. Your location is second to none. Your buffet breakfasts are not the best I have had on Bali but acceptable and enjoyable.Keep up the good work.   Nice location away from the city—I had a pleasant and relaxing stay overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I felt safe throughout my stay.My only issue was with housekeeping: cleaning was either not done properly or not done at all, as it seemed like only towels and water were being replaced, while areas like the sink were not wiped. There was also an instance where no new towels or water were provided—they appeared to have completely forgotten. The fridge was also not working, though it wasn’t a major issue for me at the time.That said, considering the very reasonable price, I’m not really complaining. I would still recommend this hotel, especially for those looking for a safe and relaxing place to stay.   Overall, the hotel is good, but it needs better maintenance.The most impressive part of our stay was the breakfast. For the price we paid, the breakfast was outstanding. Thank you to the trainee in charge at the egg station for making a special omelette for us.
